Awesome autumn weather in Korea; checking out a historic excavation site of Hanyang Doseong (Seoul City Wall). Did you know that over 600 years ago, about 200,000 Koreans built an 18 km wall around four of Seoul's inner mountains to try and protect the Joseon Dynasty capital from foreign invasion? 70% of the wall is still intact (or has been sufficiently repaired) and there are a bunch of cool trails to explore alongside the wall. History, culture, and exercise. Sign me up. Anyone keen to join me for a full day of hiking in the heart of Seoul? Special shoutout to Funday Korea Networks for selecting me to participate in this Seoul City Wall program. It was memorable.
